PREP YOUR SKIN

MOST IMPORTANT:

SHOWER, EXFOLIATE, AND SHAVE ANY UNWANTED BODY HAIR 24 HOURS BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT.

Moisturize your entire body after your shower to get your skin nice and rehydrated after exfoliating. Then avoid all body products until your spray.

Using a loofah or a washrag will not exfoliate your skin enough. Please use an oil free body scrub or an exfoliating mitt (preferred).

DO NOT use Dove or BBW before your spray or after your spray. It will create a barrier on your skin and strip it off very quickly.

Book all other beauty appointments at least 24 hours before your spray appointment. This includes nail, hair, and lash and brow appointments. Massages, waxes, lash appointments and facials should be at least 48 hours before your spray. Products used at these appointments can create a barrier on your skin cause your spray tan to be patchy.

Excessive sweating the day of your spray can cause your spray to be patchy. If you can avoid exercising or swimming the day of your appointment, do so!

Do not reapply makeup, deodorant, perfume, or lotion before your appointment. If possible, avoid all of these products the day of your spray for the best results.

AFTER CARE

MOST IMPORTANT: RINSE WITH ONLY LUKE WARM WATER 8-10 HOURS AFTER YOUR APPOINTMENT UNTIL THE WATER RUNS CLEAR. SHOWER WITH SOAP 24 HOURS AFTER YOUR APPOINTMENT. NO LOOFAHS OR WASHRAGS.

Your water rinse should be done with lukewarm water. Gently glide your hand over your body until the water runs clear. Moisturize your entire body after your rinse with a tan safe body lotion.

After your shower with soap, start moisturizing twice a day. I recommend Hempz products or Cereve products. I also sell a tan extending moisturizer in studio that will help to extend the life of your tan.

Do not come into contact with any liquids or touch your palms to your body until your first water rinse.

Do not use Dove or BBW products. Find a gentle and gel based body wash such as Hempz or Cereve. I also sell a gentle body wash in studio that is made to make your spray last.

When you have a spray tan on, only use your hand to wash your body for longest lasting results. Gently pat dry with a towel when you get out of the shower. The gentler you are with your skin, the better.

Sweating in tight clothing will cause your tan to come off in those areas. Socks, sports bras, and leggings are the worst culprits.

Prolonged exposure to water and sweating will cause your tan to fade faster. (Long showers, baths, pools, hot tubs, etc.)

Stay hydrated! Drink that water, my love!

EXTRA TIPS

Your face will always fade the fastest. Especially if you use a lot of skin care products. I recommend that you find a foundation color that matches your tan if this concerns you! I also have a tanning mist that you can purchase in studio, or online, to maintain color on your face, hands, and feet.

A spray tan does not give you a base tan or protect you from the sun. You still need to apply sunscreen.

If you need to wash your hair while your doing your water rinse, lean your head away from your body to minimize the amount of product that washes down your body.

Exfoliate your tan off once you're ready for another spray by taking a nice hot shower or bath to soften your skin and using an exfoliating mitt.
